Welcome to my happily ever after...

hump day

I have recently discovered that I really like working out right after work. I ride the bus home, run inside and change clothes, hop in the car and head to the gym. If I get there before 4:30, I manage barely beat the crush of people going right after work. I have been on a big workout kick as of late, and I guess I am fortunate to have a pasttime that is somewhat healthy. We'll see how long it lasts...

I have recently been bringing my lunch to work rather than eating out all the time as a way to save some money. So far quitting smoking hasn't really made my wallet fat, so maybe the combo of the two will help. I figure that I will save $120/month by not smoking. I spend around $6 a day on lunch, so by bringing my own I hope to save at least $50/month, and that totals $170/month if I abide by both. Doesn't sound like much now, but an additional $2040 a year sure sounds nice.

I just wrote in an email to my new friend gayfraud that I don't understand why I am behind on money. I should be making enough money to have some left over after the bills are paid. I am not extravagant when it comes to shopping so that's not it. I don't have a car note. I am making more money now than I have ever made before...and that includes two raises I've gotten in the past year. How is it that I barely manage to get by? I guess that boyfriends are expensive.
