I received this email from a "fan" regarding my entry about Britney and Madonna:
I think the kiss was pathetic. I'm a lesbian...a real one...not one of those big-boobed pretend-lesbians bimbos you see in porno movies or guy-pleasing sluts like tatu. I think acts like tatu and what happened at the VMA's between Madonna, Britney and Christina are a huge disservice to the gay community particularly the lesbian and bisexual women community making us look like we are sex objects when we are anything but that. We need roll-models, not jokes. They make a mockery of what it's really like to be gay and all the struggles we have to face in our daily lives concerning society. I also think girls are becoming more and more pathetic acting like lesbians just to try to please men...what a bunch of losers! It's very sad...
Thank you for letting me know how you feel. Seeing as how I am half lesbian, I feel I can now make a public comment and halfway know what I am talking about.
First off, why concern ourselves with always having to be a freaking role model all the time? I think life is way too short to feel like you have to set an example all the time.
Secondly, the lady (very loosely meaning you) doth protest too much. You sound like one of those granola lezzies with smelly armpits and a snatch that looks like Cousin It. I have news for you honey, there are lesbians out there with big boobs and blond hair that look just like Britney. Perhaps you are just upset that you can't bag one of them.
And lastly, and listen up because this quite possibly might be the most important point that I make. There is no such thing as a roll-model. The term is role model.
Don't mess with Madonna and Britney or there will be hell to pay.
