I just got a call from my new job wanting me to come take a drug test before my first day of work. I'm a bit worried...and don't worry, I don't do drugs. However when I was sick last month, my doctor gave me a prescription for cough medicine that has codeine in it, and I took it as prescribed. A guy once told me that he didn't get a job because after the drug screen, codeine showed up and the company wouldn't hire him. Surely if it was a prescription, this won't matter, right? Anyone have any insight on this?
